Permission was given for Will Sting (IRE) to wear a hood in the Parade Ring only.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference on the run to the line involving the winner, Eaton Collina (IRE), ridden by Richard Patrick, and Heros (FR), placed second, ridden by Shane Quinlan.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved the placing of Eaton Collina (IRE) as the interference was of a minimal nature with the winner drifting right after jumping the last carrying the second slightly of its intended line.
The stewards felt that Heros (FR) had lost no momentum as a result and Eaton Collina (IRE) was always holding Heros (FR) to win by a neck at the line.
Patrick was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift right-handed without sufficient correction carrying Heros (FR) slightly off its intended line.
