Permission was given for Good Regal (GB) to wear a red hood to the start.
The performance of Silastar (GB), which started favourite and finished fifth, beaten by 13 lengths, was considered.
Gary Moore explained that the gelding was unsuited by the left-handed aspect of the track, the Good to Firm ground on this occasion and would prefer an easier surface together with the race coming too soon for Silastar (GB) having only ran 8 days ago.
His explanation was noted and the gelding was routine tested.
Following the race, William Cox reported that Andaleep (IRE), placed second, hung both ways in the home straight and Frederick Larson reported that Pablo Prince (GB), placed third, was outpaced in the early stages of the race.
The representative of Brett Johnson reported that Stopnsearch (GB), which finished last of the eight runners, beaten by 53 lengths, briefly lost its action turning into the home straight and was never travelling thereafter.
The Veterinary Officer subsequently reported that a post-race examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities.
