It was a big difference from her last run at Sligo when she was too keen and I had never seen her pull like that. She doesn't do it at home but was geed up for some reason,. Colin got her relaxed and she could have backed out of it along the rails there but she was good and tough. She has only run six or seven times so should still improve, and we'll find something similar for her next. The owner/breeder is delighted as he has the mare at home and has a half-sister by Dawn Approach and a half-brother by Dream Ahead. It might put a bit more value on them and it's his first winner as an owner.

The Stewards requested a report from John Geoghegan, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Lady Boomerang, placed first, as compared with its most recent form. The trainer reported that his charge was drawn wide on her previous run in Sligo and ran very free early on. He felt his charge settled very well today and was allowed time to creep into the race and felt this had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form
Having considered the report, the Stewards noted the explanation offered.
