Permission was given for Lilkian (GB) to be mounted in the chute and Agostino (GB) to go early to post.
Rounding the final bend, Dayman (GER), unplaced, stepped right-handed at the same time as the winner, Fierce (IRE), edged marginally left-handed causing the rider of Purple Poppy (GB), placed fourth, to take a check, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Fierce (IRE).
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Coolagh Magic (GB), placed second, lost a right- hind shoe; Connor Planas reported that C'mon Pompey (GB), unplaced, jumped awkwardly from the stalls; Mikkel Mortensen reported that Coast (GB), unplaced, ran flat.
