The Starter reported that Marco Ghiani, the rider of Glenn Coco (GB), drawn 4, had originally entered the wrong stall.
The rider and the Starter were interviewed and shown recordings of the incident and being satisfied that the rider was not at fault, no further action was taken.
The winner, Love Destiny (GB), appeared to show an improvement in form compared with its previous run at Doncaster on 28 March 2021, where the gelding finished sixteenth of eighteen, beaten by 14½ lengths.
It was noted that the representative of Mark Johnston could offer no explanation for Love Destiny (GB)’s improved run on this occasion.
The gelding was routine tested.
