Race 6 - 3:00pm THE SAFE JOURNEY HOME MAIDEN HURDLE RACE (CLASS 5) (Novices' Championship Hurdle Series Qu: ier) The winner MANAMITE (FR) appeared to show an improvement in form, compared with its previous run at Sedgefield on 27 November 2018, where the gelding finished eighth of eleven beaten 40 lengths. Ben Haslam's explanation was noted that the gelding has regained its confidence having suffered from a fibrillating heart previously which has been well documented. Following the race, the representative of Alison Hamilton reported that SKYHILL (IRE), unplaced, was unsuited by the Heavy, Soft in places ground on this occasion and would prefer a sounder surface. The Veterinary Officer reported that SPORTING PRESS (IRE), placed fourth, lost its left fore shoe.
