Having reviewed the start, the Stewards were satisfied that Deep Spirit (GB) had refused to race and was deemed to be a runner.
The winner Porfin (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Leicester on 4 June 2024 where the gelding finished fifth of seven runners, beaten 5 ¾ lengths.
Phil McEntee’s explanation that the gelding had benefited from the removal of blinkers and the reapplication of cheekpieces, was noted.
Porfin (IRE) was routine tested.
Approaching 1 furlong out, Fantasy Navigator (GB), placed fourth, edged right-handed at the same time as Dashing Willie (GB), unplaced, shifted slightly left-handed causing the runners to make light contact, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Fantasy Navigator (GB).
Following the race, Joe Leavy reported that My Bonnie Lassie (GB), unplaced, never travelled.
