I didn’t care, both of them ran well and the horses are running out of their skin. He won it a bit easier than last year, the blinkers help him travel that bit better. I’ll have to talk to the owners and see what he does next. The Storyteller ran a brilliant race too and had no excuses. I’d imagine we could look at Punchestown for both.

An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the final hurdle when Tom Cannon was unseated from Dingo Dollar (IRE).
Cannon was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he had failed to take sufficient corrective measures to avoid running into the back of Copper Gone West (IRE), which was in the process of being pulled up by its rider, resulting in Cannon being unseated from the gelding.
In the final few strides before the line, the winner, Sire Du Berlais (FR), drifted slightly right-handed onto The Storyteller (IRE), placed second, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Sire Du Berlais (FR).
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Jatiluwih (FR), placed eighth, lost its right-hind shoe, Stoney Mountain (IRE), unplaced, lost its left-hind shoe and sustained a cut on its left-hind, Dream Berry (FR), unplaced, suffered an overreach to its left-fore and Doubly Clever (IRE), unplaced, lost its right-fore shoe.
For five-year-olds and upwards which have finished in the first six on at least one occasion in a Pertemps Hurdle Race (Qualifier) since the start of the current season.
Penalties - after February 28, a winner of a hurdle race 5lb. No penalty to increase a horse's weight above 11st 12lb.
