S. Foley, rider of Taipan (FR) trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran around in the straight
The Stewards interviewed S. Foley, rider of Taipan (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he was off the bridle from a long way out which may have contributed to him exceeding the frequency limit. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg.10.3.(g)(frequency) and having taken his good record into account cautioned him on this occasion
