Permission was given for Thegreatestshowman (GB) to go early to post and for Benny And The Jets (IRE) to be mounted in the chute and go early to post.
Dazzling Des (IRE) sustained a minor wound to its left knee on the way to the start.
Having been examined by the Veterinary Surgeon at the start, the gelding was deemed fit to race.
Approaching four furlongs out, a free-running Thegreatestshowman (GB), unplaced, lugged slightly right- handed giving a bump to a free-running Dazzling Des (IRE), unplaced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Hollie Doyle reported that Thegreatestshowman (GB), which started favourite and finished unplaced, ran too free and hung right-handed.
