The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident approaching the final furlong involving Water Nymph, ridden by W.M. Lordan, placed third, Teutates, ridden by G.M. Ryan, placed second, and Amusement, ridden by P.A
Harnett where it appeared Water Nymph may have received a bump. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. W. M. Lordan, stated that his mount was rolling left and right in the straight but did not feel he had received any contact. G. M. Ryan, stated that his mount was wearing cheekpieces for the first time and that when challenged he ran away from the winner. P. A. Hartnett, stated that he lost his right iron and that his mount had drifted left in the final furlong. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action. Mr. J. Murphy recused himself from this enquiry.
