The performance of CULMINATION, which was pulled up, was considered. Donald McCain could offer no explanation for CULMINATION's performance other than Ryan Day reporting that the gelding was never travelling. The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of CULMINATION, during routine testing, failed to reveal any abnormalities.
The performance of DESTINED TO SHINE (IRE), which started joint-second favourite and was pulled up, was considered. Kerry Lee's explanation that the gelding met interference at the fifth last hurdle and hung left-handed thereafter, was noted.
