Prior to the race, Keswick (GB) had kicked out and made contact with the plastic railings on the horsewalk, unseating Mr H.
Main in the process.
Having been examined by the Veterinary Officer and the Doctor respectively, both the gelding and the jockey were deemed fit to race.
The winner, The Game Is On (GB), appeared to show improved form, compared with its previous run at Newbury on 13 June 2020 where the gelding finished ninth of the eleven runners, beaten by 12 ½ lengths.
Simon Dow’s explanation that the yard was in better form and that The Game Is On (GB) was more suited by being held up on this occasion, having being ridden much closer to the pace last time out, was noted.
