After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, Gray was suspended for 4 days for failing to take all reasonable and permissible measures to obtain the best possible placing on a horse that would have finished fourth.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Strategic (IRE), placed seventh, had lost its right fore shoe.
