An enquiry was held into the running and riding of Mega Move (IRE), ridden by Bridget Andrews and trained by Dan Skelton, which after being restrained at the start and racing in rear throughout, was asked for an initial effort leaving the back straight before appearing to be tenderly handled in the home straight to finish last of five, beaten 22 lengths.

The rider was interviewed and shown recordings of the race; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the mare failed to reveal any abnormalities.

Andrews' stated that her instructions were to drop Mega Move (IRE) in, take her time and keep hold of the mare for as long as possible, so as to ensure it finished the race off better than when on debut for the yard at Warwick.

Andrews' explained that she was content with settling in last place, however Mega Move (IRE) persistently hung-right handed throughout the race, and was out-paced when the tempo increased down the side on the final circuit.

She added that Mega Move (IRE) hung so markedly right at times that it restricted how much pressure she was able to safely put the mare under.

She further added that Mega Move (IRE) may be better suited to a right-handed track.

Andrews’ explanation was noted; however, she was fined £140 for failing to report at scales that the mare hung right throughout.
