The winner Viroflay (FR), appeared to show improved form, compared with its previous run at Kempton on 18 October 2020 where the gelding finished fourth of eight runners, beaten by 24 lengths.
Paul Nicholls explanation was that the gelding settled better on this occasion was noted.
The gelding was routine tested.
Following the race, Shane Quinlan reported that Derek Le Grand (GB), placed fifth, made a few mistakes throughout the race and the Veterinary Officer reported that Iron Heart (GB), placed third, had sustained a wound on its left fore.
