Austrian Theory (IRE) wore earplugs which were removed at the start.
An enquiry was held to consider interference on the final bend entering the home straight involving Austrian Theory (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Joe Fanning and the winner, Naxos (GB), ridden by Kevin Stott.
The interference was found to be accidental as Naxos (GB) had hung right-handed off the bend taking Austrian Theory (IRE) off its intended line where Fanning then switched the gelding to continue his run.
An enquiry was held to consider interference entering the home straight involving Burglar (GB), placed third, ridden by Benoit de la Sayette and Austrian Theory (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Joe Fanning.
Fanning was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to shift slightly left-handed when insufficiently clear of Burglar (GB), making contact with that runner.
