One of the stirrup leathers on Whisky Express (GB) came loose on the way to post and had to be re-fitted at the start, which caused a delay to the start of this race.
The stirrup leather was inspected and as it was found to be in a serviceable condition, no further action was taken.
Lorcan Murtagh, the rider of Whisky Express (GB), was unseated shortly after the third hurdle.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no other horse or rider was involved and was caused by Whisky Express (GB) stumbling on landing causing Murtagh to become unbalanced and be unseated.
Lorcan Williams, the rider of Annie Magic (IRE), placed second, was suspended for 2 days for using his whip above the permitted level from approaching the final hurdle.
