The Stewards enquired into an incident at the mid point of this race involving Back Bar, ridden by D.N. Russell and Mr Moondance, ridden by Mr C.J. Orr, where it appeared that Mr Moondance struck into Back Bar. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action other than to advise Mr. C.J. Orr to ride with more awareness in the future
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Back Bar, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be slightly lame behind post race
D.N. Russell, rider of Back Bar trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount lost its action.
