Permission was given for Windcrack (GB) to wear a red hood to post, Beau Jardine (IRE) to be mounted in the chute and for Double Time (GB) to go early to post and be mounted in the chute.
An enquiry was held to consider interference five furlongs out involving, Double Time (GB), unplaced, ridden by Charles Bishop and Asteverdi (GB), placed third, ridden by Tom Marquand.
The interference was found to be accidental as at the point of the bend, Double Time (GB) anticipated the bend at the same time as a free running Magic Memories (IRE) improved his position on the inside of Asteverdi (GB), resulting in Asteverdi (GB) being short of room between both runners.
Following the race, Tom Marquand reported that Asteverdi (GB), placed third, took a false step on the run to the line and Oisin Murphy reported that Windcrack (GB), placed fourth, was denied a clear run between three furlongs out and two furlongs out.
