Tom Eaves reported that Soldier Blue (FR), placed sixth, ran onto heels exiting the back straight and he therefore briefly had to switch wide round the bend; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding, during routine testing, failed to reveal any abnormalities.
