Upon leaving the parade ring, Shareef Star (GB) made heavy contact with and broke several sections of plastic railings.
Having been examined by the Veterinary Surgeon at the start, the gelding was deemed fit to race.
A query was raised to consider why Oliver Greenall was running El Borracho (IRE) here at Worcester on going described as Good, having declared the gelding a non-runner at Worcester on 12 May 2021 on ground with the same official description.
The representative of Oliver Greenall stated that on the previous occasion, having walked the track, they considered the ground to be patchy and were therefore not prepared to risk the gelding, however on this occasion after having walked the track they believed that the going was consistent with genuine Good ground, and were therefore happy for El Borracho (IRE) to take his place.
