An enquiry was held to consider why Alan King was running Ziga Boy (FR) here at Uttoxeter on going described as Good, having declared the gelding a non-runner at Haydock Park on 20 April 2019 on ground with the same official description.
The representative of the trainer stated that, having walked the course at Haydock Park and spoken to the declared rider who had ridden a winner earlier in the day, in their opinion the ground at Haydock Park was riding faster than described and with Uttoxeter having a better covering of grass and walking on the easier side of Good they were happy for the gelding to take its chance.
