The Stewards interviewed T.G.McCourt, trainer, concerning his failure to nominate a rider before the designated time for Kiss The Stars. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned, who explained the difficulty he encountered when trying to find a suitable experienced apprentice to ride his charge which can be a difficult individual. He added that he had only secured T.P. Madden as a result of the riders original mount being declared a non runner. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards allowed the late nomination of T.P. Madden and took no further action. R. Coakley, rider of New Identity trained by W.J. Martin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right.
