Ben Bromley, the rider of Call Me Lord (FR), placed second, had appeared to stop riding shortly before the winning post.
Being a 7lbs claiming conditional, Bromley was accompanied in the enquiry by a senior rider.
After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, Bromley was suspended for 28 days for failing to take all reasonable and permissible measures to obtain the best possible placing on a horse that would have finished first.
Ben Bromley, the rider of Call Me Lord (FR), placed second, was suspended for 4 days for using his whip above permitted level from having jumped the second-last flight.
Kielan Woods, the rider of Wilde About Oscar (IRE), placed third, used his whip above the permitted level from having jumped the second-last flight.
As the offence warranted a suspension of between 2 and 6 days and taking into account that this was the rider’s fifth such suspension within the previous 6 months, Woods was referred to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
Following the race, the representative of Henry Daly reported that Bridge North (IRE), which was pulled up, was unsuited by the Soft ground and would prefer a faster surface.
