An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after possible interference on the run to the line involving the winner, Whatsupwithyou (IRE), ridden by Lily Pinchin and Hunters Call (IRE), placed second, ridden by Lewis Stones, which was beaten a nose.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved Whatsupwithyou (IRE)’s placing as the gelding had shifted only marginally right-handed for one stride shortly before the line and caused no loss of momentum to Hunters Call (IRE).
The Stewards found the interference, such as it was, had been quickly corrected by Pinchin and therefore deemed to be accidental.
The gelding was routine tested.
