An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after possible interference over the final furlong, when the winner Dubai Icon (GB), ridden by Andrea Atzeni, and Farasi Lane (IRE), placed second, ridden by Rob Hornby both drifted left to the winning line.
Having heard their evidence and viewed recordings of the race, the Stewards were satisfied that both horses had drifted left-handed independently and as such considered that no interference had occurred and ordered the placings to remain unaltered.
Approaching the final furlong, Seattle King (GB), placed fourth, who was weakening at the time, became slightly short of room as the winner Dubai Icon (GB) edged left, and Farasi Lane (IRE), placed second, edged slightly right.
However, after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
