Permission was given for Lilting Verse (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference on the run to the line, involving the winner, Lilting Verse (IRE), ridden by Connor Brace and Moonlit Potter (GB), placed second, ridden by David Bass.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved the placing of Lilting Verse (IRE) as despite the mare hanging right-handed in the closing stages, the interference originated from Moonlit Potter (GB), drifting left-handed and taking Lilting Verse (IRE) slightly off its intended line.
The Stewards therefore ordered the placings to remain unaltered.
Bass was cautioned for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to drift left-handed without sufficient correction, slightly shifting Lilting Verse (IRE) off its intended line.
