Permission was given for Cillians Charm (IRE) to go to post early wearing a red hood.
An enquiry was held to consider whether Ciaran O’Shea, the rider of Cillians Charm (IRE), which fell at the final flight, had continued in the race when the horse was tailed off, having made the running for a circuit.
Being a 7lb claiming conditional, O’Shea was accompanied in the enquiry by a senior rider.
The Veterinary Officer reported that an initial post-race examination of Cillians Charm (IRE) found the gelding to be showing signs of fatigue, but that Cillians Charm (IRE) returned to normal within the expected time parameters.
After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, O’Shea was suspended for 5 days.
