Permission was given for Zambezi Magic (GB) to be mounted in the chute and go early to post.
Rounding the home bend and in the early part of the straight, Footsy (GB), placed second, hung right-handed despite the best efforts of the rider moving the winner, Optician (GB), notably wider off its intended line, but after viewing are recording of the incident, it was found that there was no riding offence involved.
An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final furlong involving Footsy (GB), placed second, ridden by Marco Ghiani and the winner, Optician (GB), ridden by Daniel Tudhope.
The interference was found to be accidental as Ghiani had taken reasonable steps to correct his mount, which was hanging badly right- handed, and intimidated Optician (GB) off its intended line.
Following the race, Marco Ghiani reported that Footsy (GB), placed second, hung right-handed and Billy Loughnane reported that Lady Valentine (IRE), unplaced, was briefly denied a clear run approaching the home bend.
