Permission was given for Al Khazneh (IRE) and Pembrokeshire (GB) to both wear a red hood to post.
The Starter reported Al Khazneh (IRE) was the subject of a third criteria failure.
Saeed bin Suroor was informed that the gelding could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
As it was the second occasion within the previous 12 months that Al Khazneh (IRE) had been reported, a further report within the same period would mean the gelding would be prevented from having a stalls test for 6 months.
The winner Knebworth (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Goodwood on 29 July 2022 where the colt finished fifteenth out of sixteen, beaten by 15 ¼ lengths.
Richard Hughes’ representative’s explanation that Knebworth (GB) appreciated the return to the all-weather surface and the drop in class was noted and the colt was routine tested.
The performance of Royal Mariner (IRE) which started second favourite and finished sixth of six, was considered.
James Tate could offer no explanation for the colt’s performance.
