Mark Loughnane had received prior permission from the BHA to run Momaer (IRE) without hind shoes.

THE OKTOBERFEST RACE DAY 30TH SEPTEMBER HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 4) Permission was given for PAGE THREE (USA) to wear a red hood to post and for COMPLIANT to be mounted on the course and wear a red hood to post.
The sponsorship in relation to HEART OF SOUL (IRE) trained by Patrick Morris did not comply with the Sponsorship Code of Conduct.
Morris was warned as to his responsibility to ensure that the correct sponsorship is carried.
Daniel Muscutt, the rider of COMPLIANT, had fallen approximately half a furlong out.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no other horse or rider was involved and the incident was caused by Muscutt becoming unbalanced when the filly jinked to her right causing him to lose an iron and become un-seated.
The winner, RESTORER, appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Haydock on 7 September 2023, where the gelding finished last of eight runners, beaten 17 ¾ lengths.
It was noted that Ian Williams could offer no explanation for RESTORER’s improved form.
Following the race, David Probert reported that PAGE THREE (USA), unplaced, was restless in the stalls.
