The Stewards requested a report from A.P.O'Brien, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Seventh Heaven, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that his charge may not have handled the undulations of the track at Epsom and the return to a more galloping track allowed the filly use her long stride and consequently return to form. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation offered. Andrea Atzeni, rider of Ajman Princess, trained by Roger Varian (in GB), reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount never travelled. The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Even Song, trained by A.P.O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
