The representative of Tim Vaughan could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance on this occasion other than a report from Alan Johns that Isle Of Aron (GB) jumped poorly.
The Veterinary Officer subsequently reported that the gelding lost its left-fore shoe.
Following the race, Danny McMenamin reported that Landacre Bridge (GB), which was pulled up, jumped poorly and was never travelling thereafter.
