The winner, Lion Ring (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Southwell on 10 October 2024 where the gelding finished ninth of ten, beaten by 10 lengths.
Andrew Martin’s explanation that the gelding benefited from the return to Chelmsford was noted.
Lion Ring (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, Joe Bradnam reported that Doves Of Peace (IRE), placed fourth, was denied a clear run 1½ furlongs out, and Nicola Currie reported that Time Patrol (GB), placed second, was denied a clear run 1 furlong out.
