The representative for Roger Charlton could offer no explanation for the colt’s performance other than Thomas Greatrex reported that the colt stopped very quickly; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination, during routine testing, failed to reveal any abnormalities.
The performance of Albanita (GB), placed sixth, was considered.
The representative for Sir Mark Prescott’s explanation that the filly did not stay the 1 Mile and 6 furlong trip on this occasion, was noted.
