Alan King could offer no explanation for Colditz Castle (IRE)’s performance other than the gelding was never travelling and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
The Veterinary Officer further reported that BUCK’S BIN’S (FR), placed second, lost its right hind shoe and Charlie Hammond reported that Dublin Indemnity (GB), unplaced, stopped quickly.
