- Stewards Report
Following concerns raised by the riders at the start regarding the low sun obscuring their vision at the three cross fences, the Stewards consulted with the Clerk of the Course and ordered that these obstacles should be by-passed for this race.
Having reviewed the start the Stewards were satisfied that Call Me Freddie (GB) had jinked left-handed as the start was effected, causing Harry Reed to be unseated.
The gelding was deemed to be a runner.
The winner, Arcade Attraction (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Hereford on 16 January 2023 where the gelding pulled up.
Evan Williams’ representative explained that the gelding possibly benefited from the first time application of cheek pieces and a more positive ride.
Arcade Attraction (IRE) was routine tested.
