Leaving the stalls, Maisie Moo (GB), placed fourth, jumped left causing Stormbomber (CAN), placed second, to shy away causing interference to Seeing Red (IRE), unplaced, Undercolours (IRE), placed sixth, and Moveonup (IRE), placed seventh, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Tim Clark reported that Pushmi Pullyu (IRE), placed eighth, stopped quickly and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the filly failed to reveal any abnormalities.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Seeing Red (IRE), unplaced, lost its left fore shoe.
