An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 1 furlong out when the winner, MERCERS, ridden by Jason Watson, interfered with PHAROH JAKE, placed third, ridden by Liam Jones, which in turn interfered with HURRICANE ALERT, placed sixth, ridden by Kieran O'Neill. Watson was cautioned for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to drift left-handed without sufficient correction, causing PHAROH JAKE to be intimidated marginally off its intended line and causing HURRICANE ALERT to have to be checked momentarily.
Joey Haynes reported that HOLY TIBER (IRE), placed sixth, hung left-handed from 2 furlongs out.
