Permission was given for Albanman (IRE) to wear a hood in the parade ring only.
An enquiry was held into the running and riding of Eagle Springs (IRE), ridden by Oisin Murphy and trained by Andrew Balding, which having raced prominently in the early stages before being asked for an effort approximately 2 furlongs out and then subsequently being eased in the closing stages to finish sixth of eight runners, beaten by 12¾ lengths.
The rider was interviewed and shown recordings of the race.
Murphy stated that the colt had raced handily but was unsuited by the quick early pace and the firm ground on this occasion, which had resulted in Eagle Springs (IRE) having nothing further to give in the concluding stages of the race.
His explanation was noted.
Following the race, Nicola Currie reported that Nodsasgoodasawink (GB), placed eighth, ran too freely and also hung right-handed off the bend.
