Following the race, William Haggas’ representative reported that Maajdah (IRE), placed fourth, was unsuited by the going, which was officially described as Good to Soft (Soft in Places) on this occasion, and would prefer a quicker surface.
Hector Crouch reported that Portelet Bay (GB), placed sixth, moved poorly and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities.
