The Stewards interviewed Miss J.M. Mangan, rider of Jenmarie, concerning her use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(f), in that she used the whip with excessive frequency and having considered her record, suspended her for one race day. The Stewards interviewed Mr D. Murphy, rider of Give Her Bach, concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards wee of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(b), in that he continued to use the whip when his chance had gone and having considered his record, suspended him for two race days.
