The winner, Gris Majeur (FR), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Worcester on 11 September 2024, where the gelding finished seventh of thirteen runners, beaten 30 3/4 lengths.
Sheila Lewis’s explanation that the gelding benefitted for its first run back after a long break, was noted.
Gris Majeur (FR) was routine tested.
Following the race, Charlie Hammond reported that Galata Bridge (GB), which was pulled up, stopped quickly.
The Veterinary Officer further reported that the gelding was lame on its left fore; Kieran Burke reported that The Height Of Fame (GB), placed fourth, was unsuited by the ground described as Good, Good to Firm (in places), which in his opinion, was riding slower than described on this occasion, and the mare would prefer a quicker surface.
