Following the race, Martin Harley reported that Logician (GB), which started favourite and finished fourth of four runners, hung right-handed under pressure which resulted in the rider being unable to ride the colt out in the closing stages; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Logician (GB), during routine testing, failed to reveal any abnormalities.
