Approximately 1 furlong after the start, Restorer (GB), placed fifth, lugged slightly left-handed away from Fox Tal (GB), placed second, causing Alternative Fact (GB), unplaced, to be tightened for room and in turn inconvenience Data Protection (GB), placed third, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Restorer (GB).
Approximately 7 furlongs out, a free running Fox Tal (GB), placed second, shifted left-handed when being steadied, hampering Alternative Fact (GB), unplaced, which in turn crowded a free running Data Protection (GB), placed third, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Fox Tal (GB).
Following the race, Nicola Currie reported that Data Protection (GB), placed third, ran too freely.
