The winner LATE DATE (IRE), appeared to show an improvement in form, compared with its previous run at Hexham on 9 November 2018, where the gelding finished was pulled up. Micky Hammond explained that the gelding may have appreciated being ridden more prominently on this occasion. His explanation was noted and LATE DATE (IRE) was routine tested.
