He's done it well. He probably will be claimed and if he is, best of luck to somebody,. He's raw, he's just on his third run, and we threw him in and handicapped him ourselves to give him a chance. He's done what we thought he could do, win a race of that calibre. The Stewards interviewed G.P. Brouder, rider of Briseuse De Coeur, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he had used his whip above what is permitted by rule, but stated that some were for corrective purposes as his mount hung both ways in the straight. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the rider had used his whip on at least one occasion for corrective purposes and therefore took no further action.
