Shortly after jumping the second-last hurdle, Everything Now (IRE), placed third, was badly hampered by Get In The Queue (GB), which was in the process of being pulled up by its rider having sustained an injury, but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held to consider whether Jonjo O’Neill Jr, the rider of Get In The Queue (GB), which was immediately pulled up after jumping the second-last hurdle, had continued in the race when his horse appeared to have sustained an injury.
The rider was interviewed and recordings of the incident were viewed.
The rider explained that he became aware the gelding had gone wrong approaching the second- last hurdle, however, when travelling at top speed and being so close to the hurdle there was insufficient time to safely prevent Get In The Queue (GB) from jumping the obstacle.
His explanation was accepted.
Following the race, Robert Dunne reported that Pounding Poet (IRE), unplaced, hung right-handed in the back straight.
