Permission was given for Seen The Lyte (IRE) to be mounted in the chute.
An enquiry was held to consider why Mohamed Moubarak was running Texting (GB) here at Ascot on going described as Good to Firm, having declared the filly a non-runner at Yarmouth on 25 July 2019 on ground with the same official description.
The trainer’s representative explained that the filly had returned jarred up having run on Good to Firm ground at Yarmouth previously, but they were happy for the Texting (GB) to take her chance on this occasion where, in his opinion, there is a better covering of grass.
Following the race, Robert Winston reported that Chitra (GB), which finished last of the seven runners, got upset in the stalls and stopped quickly during the race; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the filly failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Nicola Currie reported that Peggie Sue (GB), placed sixth, hung right-handed under pressure.
